Matte Laminated Cards Est. 6-7 working days

500+ sold

Matte laminated cards are the most affordable option. The 300gsm gloss art card has balanced thickness and a slight yellow cast, not bright white. Gang-run printing may cause colour variation but keeps prices low. Ideal for one-off promotions and shops.

Matte Laminated Cards | Most Affordable Double-Sided Full-Colour Printing • Water-Resistant, Rub-Resistant Surface

If you need "cards for mass distribution that are durable and reliably priced", matte laminated cards are the safest entry-level choice. The 300gsm coated art card has a well-balanced thickness, while double-sided matte lamination gives a cleaner feel and improves resistance to colour rub-off and light splashes. Quick Selection (decide in 30 seconds)

1In-store promotion: clear information is all you need

Use "large text, high contrast and few blocks of colour". Matte lamination suppresses glare, making QR codes easier to scan and text easier to read.

2Event handouts: durable and resistant to colour rub-off

Double-sided matte lamination improves abrasion resistance and provides light water resistance, helping cards stay presentable throughout a day of distribution. Ideal for exhibitions, street promotions and openings.

3For a "more premium" look: simply add one upgraded finish

On the same matte-laminated base, spot UV / hot foil stamping / embossing / rounded corners instantly elevate the finish (options below).

Four "Most Valuable" Advantages of Matte Laminated Cards
✅ Double-sided matte lamination: abrasion and colour rub-off resistance
  • A "cleaner" surface: less glare and a more refined feel
  • Improved durability: reduces the risk of scratching and colour loss
  • Light water resistance: suitable for everyday distribution
✅ 300gsm coated art card: just the right thickness
  • Neither too thin and "insubstantial" nor too thick to store easily
  • Stable and resistant to bending: "stands up well" to mass distribution
  • Suitable for most businesses, shops and promotional uses
✅ Most affordable: best value for high-volume printing
  • Choose this for "professional-looking" cards on the smallest budget
  • Particularly suitable for "one-off" exhibitions, street promotions and in-store campaigns
  • For extremely strict colour requirements, consider a "dedicated print run"
✅ Upgrade the same base: add a finish for a more polished look
  • Available options: spot UV, hot foil stamping, embossing, polygon die-cutting, rounded corners and more
  • Approach: keep the content in full colour and use a special finish to "highlight key areas"
  • The next section shows you exactly how to choose

Note: the matte-laminated card stock has a "slight yellow cast" rather than a bright-white shade. Gang-run printing can also produce some colour variation, which is what makes it so affordable. For extremely precise colour, ask about a dedicated print run first.

Want a More Premium Look? Four Upgrades That Instantly Elevate the Same Base

Spot UV: make logos and text "shine" under the light

Ideal for a subtle yet memorable look. A clear gloss highlights key areas for an immediate effect.

Gold / silver foil: metallic shine signals "premium quality"

A small foiled brand name, job title or logo adds considerable impact; avoiding large solid areas gives more reliable results.

Embossing: a raised texture you can feel

Ideal for "premium name cards": it creates a memorable tactile impression without relying on shine and suits minimalist designs.

Rounded corners: smooth edges and a "softer" look

Ideal for membership cards, gift cards and cards kept in a wallet long-term; rounded corners also improve durability.

Printing Advice (Common Pitfalls with Matte Laminated Cards)
✅ Control total ink coverage
  • Keep total ink coverage between 8%–250% (too low will appear pale; too high may cause colour shifts)
  • Reduce total ink coverage for large dark areas to avoid "a dark, muddy appearance"
  • For reliable results, use a lighter background or more white space
✅ Matte lamination darkens colours
  • Finished colours are generally slightly darker (because matte lamination absorbs light)
  • Gang-run printing involves some colour variation; choose a dedicated print run if colour matching must be extremely strict
  • You may moderately increase brightness / contrast in the design
✅ Use "four-colour black"
  • For black, use four-colour black (CMYK 100%) for a richer result than K100
  • Avoid overly thin small text: at least a medium-bold weight is more reliable
  • To make a logo or text stand out, upgrade with UV / hot foil stamping / embossing

A quick reminder: matte-laminated card stock has a yellowish cast rather than a bright-white shade, and gang-run printing may produce colour variation. If "your brand colour must be exact", send me the artwork on WhatsApp first and identify the colour that matters most.

FAQ
Q: Who are matte laminated cards suitable for, and what can they be used for?
Best for promotions, shops, exhibitions, street promotions and mass distribution: affordable, abrasion-resistant and resistant to colour rub-off. For "premium name cards", upgrade with UV / hot foil stamping / embossing / rounded corners.
Q: Why have I heard that matte lamination darkens colours?
The matte-laminated surface absorbs some reflected light, so it is normal for the finished product to look slightly darker than on screen. You can fine-tune brightness / contrast; for extremely strict brand-colour requirements, request a proof or dedicated print run.
Q: Is the matte-laminated card stock bright white?
This 300gsm coated art card has a slight yellow cast rather than a "bright-white" shade. For a whiter, stiffer stock, explore the other white card / specialty paper ranges.
Q: What is gang-run printing, and will there be colour variation?
Matte laminated cards use gang-run printing, keeping costs low and prices affordable. Some colour variation may occur, especially across large dark areas. For more accurate colour, tell us your requirements on WhatsApp and we will advise on a dedicated print run.
Q: Why is it advisable to allow an extra 5–8% quantity?
Gang-run imposition, cutting and other processes generally involve around 5–8% wastage. If "the quantity received" is critical, allow a small buffer when ordering.
Q: Can UV, hot foil stamping, embossing or rounded corners be added to matte laminated cards?
Yes. This is the most common way to "elevate an affordable card": keep the content in full colour, use UV / hot foil stamping / embossing to highlight key areas, and add rounded corners for durability. Direct links appear in the "Finishing Upgrades" section above.
