Clear PVC cards showcase the material's transparency, making graphics stand out. They can have embossed numbering, gold or silver foil, a signature strip, magnetic stripe or barcode for varied uses. Standard size: 85.5mm × 54mm with rounded corners.
Clear PVC cards have a glass-like transparent appearance that can enhance their visual impact. We recommend incorporating suitable areas of negative space to give the finished product a strong sense of transparency. PVC is not easily damaged, but its surface is prone to scratches. Clear cards are highly distinctive and very likely to be kept, making them memorable. Single-sided printing is the best option, while double-sided printing requires a white ink underlayer.
Material Properties: The Endless Possibilities of Clear PVC
Clear PVC is transparent like glass, offering endless design possibilities, but its effect on colour reproduction must also be considered. Make full use of this property while addressing its limitations to create a distinctive visual effect.
Single- and Double-Sided Printing: Different Choices, Each with Its Own Advantages
Single-sided printing best showcases the transparency of the material and suits minimalist designs. With double-sided printing, overlapping artwork must be considered, so we recommend using a white ink underlayer to maintain vivid colours.
White Ink Printing: The Magic That Brings Designs to Life
White ink printing can produce opaque white graphics or text on clear PVC, creating a distinctive visual effect and highlighting your brand identity. It is a powerful way to elevate a design.
4. Full-Colour Printing: High Saturation Is Key
For full-colour printing, we recommend highly saturated colours to ensure clear reproduction on transparent material. Avoid colours that are too pale, as they may weaken the visual impact.
5. Special Finishes: The Perfect Touch to Elevate Quality
Special finishes such as gold or silver foil and UV printing can effectively enhance the card's quality and visual appeal, adding even more design possibilities.
6. Negative-Space Design: Minimal but Not Simplistic
Make full use of the transparent material and incorporate suitable negative space to create a minimalist, stylish look with a more modern feel.
7. Colour Combinations: Simplicity Above All
Avoid overly complex colour combinations that could detract from the transparent effect. Simple combinations can often produce unexpected results.
