Ordering Process

Artwork Guidelines

Card Artwork Size Settings:

1. The standard artwork size for a card is 96 × 60 mm, including 3 mm bleed on all four sides, while the trimmed finished size is 90 × 54 mm. Before exporting, delete any objects outside the bleed area. There is no need to draw crop marks or cross marks, and the card frame must be set to no fill, as shown below:
   
2. If a finished-artwork frame has not been set, the work area or page frame will be treated as the finished size by default. To ensure the correct finished dimensions, please set the finished-artwork frame yourself.
   
3. Keep important text, four-sided borders and white margins at least 5 mm inside the trim line on every side as a safe margin. Otherwise, trimming may appear crooked or the margins may be uneven.
   
4. Card artwork must include 3 mm bleed on every side beyond the finished dimensions. For example, artwork measuring 156 × 106 mm will have a finished size of 150 × 100 mm and will be charged as four card units, while artwork measuring 86 × 56 mm will have a finished size of 80 × 50 mm and will be charged as one card unit.
   
   

Card Artwork Preparation Guidelines:

Standard Card Artwork

1. When creating card artwork in Adobe Illustrator (AI), set the artboard to the finished card dimensions, set a 3 mm bleed in Document Setup, and centre the content on the artboard. Once complete, create outlines, save the file as AI or PDF, and upload it. Before uploading, please refer to the File Upload Guidelines for important requirements.
2. When preparing card artwork, remember to place the front on the left and the back on the right.
   
3. When exporting artwork using AI software, save each file separately. Whether it is an AI, PSD or PDF file, there must be one file for each person's name.
4. When exporting artwork using Photoshop, name the front and back card artwork files for each person and compress both files into the same folder. Each card artwork set will therefore contain two files.
5. When uploading files, confirm each option and quantity before uploading them in sequence to avoid errors and confusion.
6. Before confirming your order, double-check that the options and quantities selected for the uploaded files are correct.

Preparing Artwork for Spot UV and Hot Foil Stamping

1. If finishing is required, create black separation artwork to indicate the areas to be finished. Only vector AI files are accepted for the black separation artwork.
2. As noted above, place the front of the card on the left and the back on the right. Place the black separation artwork for spot UV, hot foil stamping and other finishes beside the side to be finished, with the front on the left and the back on the right, as shown:
   
   
3. Areas for post-print spot UV or hot foil stamping must be set to K100%.
4. Avoid using graphics or text that are too small, too fine or overly complex, as the finished result may be unsatisfactory.
5. Finished text must be at least 8 pt, lines must be at least 0.6 pt (0.2 mm) thick, and the gap between two foil areas must be at least 0.7 mm.
6. Do not place spot UV or hot foil stamping areas too close to the trim line or die-cut boundary, as pressure from the cutting blade may cause the UV or foil to peel away.
7. A positional tolerance of 2–3 mm for spot UV is normal. To reduce misalignment, add a 1–2 mm stroke when creating the black separation artwork.
8. Hot foil stamping has a tolerance of 0.5–1 mm. To prevent the foil from being misaligned with text or images on the printed surface, areas to be foiled must not appear in the printed artwork, as shown:
