Say goodbye to run-of-the-mill business cards. Cotton paper feels warm and textured, with a thickness close to a credit card, so you can feel the quality at first touch. For the understated, premium look of debossing, embossing or hot foil stamping, cotton card is the most reliable stock.
Suggestion: Use generous whitespace with letterpress or an embossed logo; add a small area of gold foil for extra impact.
Suggestion: Use a minimalist layout with selected gold or silver foil; the cotton-paper texture gives the whole design a quiet-luxury feel.
Suggestion: Make the tactile quality of cotton paper the selling point: debossed text with a small metallic finish looks premium even in photos.
The essence of cotton card is how it feels in your hand: do not overcrowd it with text. Generous whitespace plus one feature finish (embossing or hot foil stamping) is enough for an elegant result.
Pressure creates a raised or recessed tactile effect, and the cotton texture makes it feel naturally refined.
Suggestion: Simple logos, names and linework produce the best results.
The metallic sheen contrasts strongly with warm cotton paper, making an instant impression.
Suggestion: Foil only the most important information rather than covering a large area.
Cotton paper already has plenty of character; earth tones and muted Morandi colours complement it well.
Suggestion: Avoid heavy background colours and give the texture room to breathe.
Cotton card works best with whitespace and fine detail. Very small text or thin lines may not reproduce as well. For embossing or hot foil stamping, use a vector (AI) file for cleaner edges.
The cotton card feels genuinely premium. With the gold foil, it immediately looked very distinguished, and my boss was delighted.
The cotton paper texture is excellent. It instantly made the whole card look more upmarket, and I feel confident whenever I hand one over.
We added silver foil and debossing; the dimensional effect looks beautiful, and friends ask where it was printed as soon as they touch it.
