3-Fold Leaflets | Explain Products / Prices / Processes Clearly across 8 Content Panels

Want a single sheet with as much content as a booklet? Once folded along three fold lines, a 3-fold leaflet forms 4 panels, giving you 8 content panels across the front and back: an eye-catching cover, clearly divided inner panels for selling points / prices / processes, and contact details + a QR code on the back. Ideal for information-rich promotions where booklet binding is unnecessary.

Printing: Full colour on both sides Material: 128gsm gloss art paper Size: 99×210 / 74×210 / A6 Minimum order: From 500 copies Layout: 4 panels × front and back (8 sides in total)
Quick Pick (decide in 30 seconds)

1Best for "lots of information": price lists / service lists

The 8 sides can be divided into "highlights / packages / process / FAQ / contact details", keeping the leaflet uncluttered and helping readers find the key points.

2Product-focused: mini catalogue / range introduction

Place one range (4–6 items) on each side, with a QR code / website link; it feels more polished and on-brand than a single-sheet leaflet.

3Event-focused: course / exhibition / opening schedule

Use one side for the schedule, one for speakers / highlights and one for registration details; it folds neatly into a bag, making visitors more likely to take it away.

Specifications & Materials (practical, most popular configuration)

Folding Recommendations (the same three folds can create a very different reading experience)
✅ Accordion Fold (Z-Fold)

Open it to reveal "4 continuous content panels" for the easiest reading experience.

  • Best for: service processes, step-by-step guides, product ranges and event schedules
  • Benefits: every panel lies flat with clear sections, so readers do not need to turn pages
✅ Roll Fold

Unfolds from the cover through to the final panel, creating a stronger narrative.

  • Best for: brand stories, explanations that build gradually and step-by-step ordering guidance
  • Tip: one roll-fold panel usually needs to be slightly narrower to prevent bulging when folded; if unsure, request a template via WhatsApp
8-Side Layout Example (easy to follow without mistakes)

Cover (Side 1)

Use one positioning statement + the main selling point + a strong hero image. Remember: the cover should make people want to pick it up.

Key Selling Points (Sides 2–3)

Use 3–5 key points to explain how you differ and why customers should choose you (comparisons / examples can be added).

Content (Sides 4–6)

Place price lists / service lists / product ranges / process diagrams here, with one topic per side.

Trust Signals (Side 7)

Customer logos, genuine testimonials, collaboration figures and guarantee terms belong on one side rather than being scattered throughout.

Back (Side 8)

Add contact details + address + opening hours + a QR code (WhatsApp / website / form); everything on the back should be easy to find at a glance.

Tip

Avoid placing fine text / QR codes across fold lines. Large colour blocks can appear broken across folds, while sectioned white space gives a cleaner result.

Size & Bleed (follow these guidelines when supplying artwork)
Finished size: 99 × 210mm Finished size: 74 × 210mm Finished size: A6 (105 × 148mm) Recommended bleed: 3mm on each edge Keep important content ≥3mm from the trim line Keep important content ≥5mm from fold lines
The most common issue with 3-fold leaflets is fine text / QR codes crossing the fold lines. If you are unsure where the folds should go, WhatsApp us with the size + preferred folding style and we can provide the appropriate template / guides.
Design / Artwork Recommendations (for an attractive, readable finished leaflet)
✅ File Format
  • Recommended: AI / PDF (sharpest vector output)
  • If using fonts: outline them / or embed the fonts
  • Image files are accepted, but please provide high-resolution files
✅ Colour / Resolution
  • Colour mode: CMYK
  • Photos / backgrounds: recommended 300dpi
  • Avoid overly thin fine text; 100K gives more reliable black text
✅ Handling Fold Lines
  • Do not place QR codes / fine text across fold lines
  • For large colour blocks crossing fold lines, divide the sections + add white space for a cleaner result
  • If a roll fold requires a "slightly narrower inner panel", confirm the layout before ordering
Pre-press Notes (essential reading)
1
Large areas of solid colour: Ink dries more slowly and is more prone to set-off. For full-bleed dark colours / large colour blocks, consider lamination for greater stability.
2
Dark-and-light designs: If the dark side has high total ink coverage (for example, a total >200 with multiple inks), it may show through to the other side. Reduce the dark area or add lamination.
3
Minor differences between paper batches: Small differences in paper thickness / colour between batches are normal. For long-term consistency, print the full quantity from the same paper batch.
4
White edges along folds: Lower-weight paper (such as 128gsm) is usually machine-folded directly, and white edges may commonly appear along the folds.
5
Gang-run printing characteristics: Colour proofs are not normally provided. If a brand-critical colour must be matched, discuss it with us on WhatsApp first so a more suitable approach can be arranged.

(The original "Printing Notes" on the product page take precedence.)

FAQ
Q: What is the difference between 3-fold and 2-fold leaflets?
3-fold: 4 panels when folded and 8 sides across the front and back; ideal for detailed information (prices / ranges / processes / FAQs). 2-fold: 3 panels when folded and 6 sides across the front and back; ideal for shorter content and lighter distribution.
Q: Is an accordion fold or roll fold better?
Choose an accordion fold to see all the sections as soon as it opens; choose a roll fold to reveal the content progressively from the cover. Send us your content and we will recommend a fold based on the reading sequence.
Q: Does the artwork need bleed, and how should fold lines be handled?
We recommend 3mm bleed on each edge; keep important content at least 5mm from fold lines. Keep QR codes / fine text away from the folds so they remain clear and easy to scan.
Q: Why should large dark areas be treated with care?
Ink in large colour blocks dries more slowly and may cause set-off, while high total ink coverage can show through to the other side. Sectioning the layout with white space or adding lamination usually gives a more reliable result.
