Outdoor lightbox banner fabric for sign lightboxes, with 25%–35% light transmission. A rear light source makes graphics clearer and colours more vivid. Commonly used for small and medium roadside, shopfront and indoor promotional lightboxes.
Designed specifically for lightboxes: even light transmission, cleaner colours and an eye-catching result both indoors and at night. Ideal for shopping-centre lightboxes, MTR lightboxes, shopfronts, backlit exhibition walls and more.
Choose backlit film/backlit banner fabric for even light transmission and crisp text. Use slightly heavier lettering so it remains clear from a distance.
Use a high-resolution image (so it does not pixelate when enlarged) and slightly increase the contrast of the main visual.
First confirm whether you need trimming on all four sides or edge finishing/eyelets. Not sure? Send us a photo of the lightbox on WhatsApp and we will recommend the right option.
Not sure whether to use backlit film or another material?
Send us the lightbox dimensions + installation method (slot/magnetic/tensioned fabric) + intended use, and we will advise you directly.
Uneven light transmission can make a lightbox image look mottled, with patchy dark areas. Backlit film/backlit banner fabric is designed for even light transmission.
Backlighting makes colours appear more luminous, while pale greys and light colours look even lighter. We recommend adding a little contrast and avoiding overly thin main text.
Slotted lightboxes usually require trimming on all four sides; tensioned-fabric/fixed installations may require edge finishing/eyelets or an allowance.
Backlighting makes the graphic brighter, but also makes light colours look paler. We recommend slightly increasing contrast/saturation and avoiding overly thin black/main text.
Lightbox graphics often fit into slots on all four sides or are concealed by the frame. Keep important content at least 10–20mm from the edge (depending on the size).
Lightboxes are often viewed up close, so use a high-resolution image; logos/text should preferably be supplied as vectors (AI/PDF).
The colours in the same file will look different when illuminated in a lightbox than on a front-lit large-format print. Brands requiring strict colour matching should provide a reference colour or photograph of a previous finished product.
Would you like us to confirm the slot-fitting dimensions?
Send the lightbox outer-frame dimensions + visible dimensions + slot depth (if any) + a photo via WhatsApp and we will check them for you.
