The Printing Banana Paper Collection 2025
You may have already heard: our very first launch of the year is the Printing Banana Paper Collection 2025. Come and feel it for yourself! One of our goals is to help everyone understand the printing world a little better — to know what a printed piece actually feels and looks like in real life. The human brain is a funny thing: we tend to trust video over photos, and photos over words. But when it comes to truly knowing what something is, nothing replaces holding it in your hands, touching it, looking at it, playing with it. For anyone who cares about print quality and feel, having the real thing in front of you matters enormously.
A Few Notes on the Design
We spent a long time talking it through with customers and colleagues, always asking ourselves what we ultimately wanted to put in our customers' hands. As an online printing company, we've long dreamed of having a physical shop — one with a real door, real décor, and us standing inside it. So we decided to design a 3D scene that imagines what it would look like if PrintingBanana.com really did open a dedicated shop for its customers.
Choosing the 3D Design Software
To be honest, I'm the one who talks to customers all day and knows next to nothing about design. But these days YouTube can turn out Olympic gold medallists, so why not me? We already know Adobe's software inside out, which is exactly why we didn't want to start with their products (you know how it is ^^). 3ds Max? Cinema 4D? SketchUp? None of them. I just wanted to start learning and have fun doing it. After a good rummage around the web, I discovered Spline, and the moment I saw that you could instantly turn a design into an interactive game, I was hooked. It's brilliant!

The Design Concept
We wanted to give everyone a printing experience full of joy. So you may have already noticed that we've packed the scene with playful touches — carnival rides, a playground, and balls floating on the second floor (inspired by gashapon capsule machines). On top of that, we wanted to work in some local flavour, so we designed Hong Kong's iconic red taxi and a delivery van of our very own.
Our Choice of Papers
As much as we wanted to offer the finest stocks for you to admire and feel, what you really need from paper isn't simply that it's premium — it's the character of the paper itself. So we put together a range of everyday and specialty stocks, including both smooth and textured papers.
To let you see the print result, we used vivid, bold designs and added the paper name, weight (gsm) and cut marks to each one, so you can easily share them with friends, colleagues or clients.
Down to the Last Sheet
The Printing Banana Paper Collection 2025 has been out for a few weeks now, and thanks to your support our stock is almost gone — even faster than we expected! We're genuinely grateful. We've also built a website to walk you through the papers, so do go and explore it. (And if you spot a bug, be sure to let us know! 😉)
