The standard business card in Hong Kong is 90 × 54 mm — the "golden-ratio" card most people picture. But a growing number of designers are reaching for something slimmer, and a narrow rectangle can make a card stand out the moment it leaves your hand.
This instalment of our card-craft series is all about narrow cards. Instead of the familiar 90 × 54 mm, these examples run to 90 × 45 mm and the even slimmer 90 × 40 mm — each one photographed and paired with its exact paper stock and finishing, so you can see what a non-standard size actually looks like in print.
